Carpet Maintenance
With every floor we sell we try to make sure you receive a copy of the manufacturers Floor Care Tips. It is always best if you follow the manufacturers recommended floor care and maintenance guidelines.
Carpet cleaning Note of caution: Various commonly used household products may affect the colour of your carpet.
Examples are:
- Acne medications (cream/lotion)
- Insecticides Furniture polish
- Plant foods
- Household bleaches
- Acids
- Strong Alkali
- Athletic or muscular liniment ceams
- Chlorine i.e. Swimming pools
- Hair colourants
- Corn plasters
These types of products, if spilt or sprayed inadvertently onto your carpet, may cause irreversible discolouration. You should carefully read the manufacturers directions for the particular product use. No carpet is absolutely stain proof Some carpets have stain resistant treatments to improve your ability to clean up stains, not to prevent stains. Carpets with soil resistant treatments reduce the rate of soiling, but all carpets require regular care and maintenance.
Spot Cleaning
We recommend Scotchgard Carpet Cleaner for general spillages. Immediate action is the key, most spills won't stain permanently if you act quickly.
